Every year I drive a couple miles down the road to visit Amy Krut's dahlia garden. Her entire front yard on three sides of the house is filled with 250 different varieties of dahlias. It's so much fun to explore gardening obsessions like Amy's.

I interview my friend Laura Schoch, who has designed every Fall Flower Show since 2010. This year she has outdone herself with Rhythm & Blooms a wonderful combination of music and plants. There's so much whimsy and beauty in this show. The Fall Flower Show runs through October 27, 2024.

Each room is offers a different type of music, from rock and roll to classical, jazz, hip hop and others.

I've been friends with Dave Foreman for over two decades. He's one of my hot pepper heroes. I've seen him eat a 'Carolina Reaper' pepper. When I started growing 'Pimenta Bela Purple' I wondered which one of my hot pepper buddies would want to try them. I knew Dave would be on the list.
