Planting bulbs is an annual tradition that makes the spring garden spectacular.
Some of my favorite bulbs are on sale there.
'Pickwick' crocus was introduced in 1923, has purple and cream colored striped petals and an luminescent orange anther. I just picked up some from Hahn.
'Jetfire' daffodil is one of the earliest to bloom and a vigorous grower. I'm planting 200 more in my garden.
'Golden Echo' is a favorite introduced by Brent Heath and his wife Becky. It's another beauty.
'Erlicheer' daffodil smells like heaven.
'Thalia' daffodil is a pretty white, late bloomer that will never let you down, it comes back stronger every year.
'Minnow' daffodil is a wonderful miniature variety.
All you need to know about Allium caeruleum is that the blooms are sky blue.
Planting bulbs is not instant gratification, but that comes after another long, hard winter in the form of colorful flowers.
