Doug appears at Where To Turn Resource Fair at Duquesne U Tuesday 6/17/25

I’ll be presenting a special container gardening seminar at 11 a.m. during the Where To Turn Resource Fair sponsored by Farm to Table Buy Fresh Buy Local.
It’s free, but participants must register here, lunch is included.

Where to Turn brings together social service, education, healthcare, transportation, food resource & nutrition professionals to find Community Resources available in Southwestern PA. 40 vendors and 350 – 400 attendees will enjoy speakers, vendors & lunch. Topics include all of the social determinants of health including access to healthy, fresh food, health care services and benefits, housing, transportation, child care and educational programs.

Farm to Table Buy Local, a non-profit 501c3, is bringing together vendors and speakers to help people find the many Community Resources that provide services to seniors, families and individuals who need assistance with activities of daily living. We have scheduled two dates at the Duquesne University Power Center on Tuesday, June 17 and Tuesday, September 9, 2025 from 9 am - 1 pm.

This resource fair is open to the public and attendees include social service, food & farming, transportation, utilities, education, health care, human resource and similar professionals. Please register so we can make sure to have enough coffee, tea & lunch!
