Free Heirloom Seeds at Mt. Lebanon Earth Day event 4/26/26 11-1pm

‘Black Seeded Simpson’ is a great, heirloom lettuce.

I'll be giving away free 'Black Seeded Simpson' lettuce seeds Sunday (4/26/26) from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Mt. Lebanon Earth Day celebration held at Mt. Lebanon Park, 900 Cedar Blvd. I'll be at the Farm to Table Buy Local table answering garden questions and with a few surprise seeds for you too. 'Black Seeded Simpson' is an heirloom leaf lettuce which was introduced in 1850. It is slow to bolt (go to seed) and drought tolerant, the light green ruffled leaves are crisp and tender.
